Fiennes, Fanning and Culkin cast in under a week
Ralph Fiennes was cast as President Snow, Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket and Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman. Each role had been played by a well-known actor in the earlier films.
Why it matters
The casting was released one name at a time, each pairing a new star with a remembered role. That pairing later became the April 2026 promo.
