Terms of Service

The rules for using Hypespool, what you can do with our content, and our responsibilities to you.

Effective date: 19 October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of hypespool.com and everything published on it (together, the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Copyright Policy.

1. About Hypespool

Hypespool is an editorial publication about how movies are marketed. We reconstruct film marketing campaigns as dated, sourced timelines, and publish analysis, deep dives and a playbook of reusable marketing mechanics. In these Terms, "Hypespool", "we", "us" and "our" mean the team that runs the Site. You can reach us at contact@hypespool.com.

2. Using the Site

  1. You may read, browse and search the Site for your personal use and for your internal business use, such as research, planning and presentations.
  2. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live to accept these Terms. If you use the Site on behalf of an organisation, you accept these Terms for that organisation.
  3. We do not offer accounts, saved collections or paid plans yet. Features shown as "Pro" are previews of a future plan and are not on sale. Any future paid plan will come with its own terms.

3. What you may and may not do with our content

  1. Quoting and citing. You may quote short extracts and cite individual timeline entries, figures and articles, provided you credit Hypespool and link to the page you are quoting. The "Copy citation" button produces a suitable reference.
  2. You must not, without our written permission:
    • copy, republish or redistribute substantial parts of the Site, including complete timelines, datasets or articles;
    • sell, license or otherwise commercially exploit our content, or offer it as part of another product or database;
    • remove or obscure credits, evidence labels, source notes or copyright notices;
    • use the Site in a way that is unlawful, misleading, or that infringes anyone else's rights.
  3. Automated access. Search engines, AI assistants and other automated tools may read and index public pages for the purpose of answering people's questions and linking back to us, provided they follow robots.txt, identify themselves with a descriptive user agent, and do not degrade the Site for other visitors. Bulk extraction of our content, or using it to build a competing database or to train, fine-tune or benchmark machine-learning models, requires our written permission.

4. Our editorial content

  1. Evidence labels. Every factual claim on a timeline carries an evidence label (Confirmed, Reported, Observed or Unverified), and our own interpretation is marked as Analysis. The labels tell you how sure we are; please read them. Our methods are explained in our Editorial Standards.
  2. No professional advice. Our content is for general information and research. It is not legal, financial, investment or business advice, and you should not rely on it as such.
  3. Accuracy and corrections. We work hard to be accurate, but campaigns are reconstructed from public sources and some details may be incomplete or wrong. We correct material errors openly in each dossier's changelog. If you spot one, please tell us.
  4. Third-party marks and materials. Film titles, studio names, brand names and logos belong to their owners. We refer to them for news reporting, criticism and review. Their appearance on the Site does not mean those owners endorse us, or that we are affiliated with them.

5. Intellectual property

  1. The Site, its design, text, timelines, analysis, compilations and code are owned by Hypespool or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Except for the rights given in section 3, no licence is granted to you.
  2. If you believe something on the Site infringes your rights, please follow our Copyright Policy.

6. Submissions and corrections

If you send us a source, correction, tip or other material, you confirm you are entitled to share it, and you allow us to use it to verify, correct and publish our coverage. We decide what to publish, and we may credit you or keep you anonymous as you request. Interviewees may check their own quotes for accuracy but do not approve our articles.

The Site links to sources and other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

8. Disclaimer

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the Site or its content, including that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or free of errors.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Hypespool will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Hypespool against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site or its content.

11. Changes to the Site and to these Terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may update these Terms; the effective date above will change when we do, and continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the new Terms.

12. Ending access

We may restrict or end your access to the Site if you breach these Terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect the Site or other people.

13. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

14. Contact
