After Spider-Man Brand New Day's opening, IMAX changed course and shared screens from 6 August, ending The Odyssey's exclusive hold on the format.

IMAX China plans nearly all 800 screens for the 14 August opening
The IMAX China chief said most or all of the network would play the film in its first week. Nolan and Damon were due in Beijing on 30 July for a red carpet at the China National Film Museum.
