Casting leaks out one fighter at a time through the trades
Over eight weeks the trades reported the cast role by role: Momoa, Koji, Centineo and Reigns in talks, then 50 Cent as Balrog, Dastmalchian as M. Bison and Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim. Legendary declined to comment on each.
Why it matters
A cast drawn from wrestling, music, MMA and Indian action cinema gave each fan base its own headline, weeks apart.
