Release moved a year to 10 July 2026
After Moana 2 was set for November 2024, Disney moved the live-action film from June 2025 to 10 July 2026 in a slate update.
Why it matters
The new date still left the remake about 19 months after the animated sequel. Disney executives later named that gap as a cause of the weak opening.
