Swift performs live at the Dolby Theatre world premiere
The screen lifted after the film to reveal Swift at a piano. She sang the new song, then "You've Got a Friend in Me" with Randy Newman. Guests wrote messages for children in hospital on the red carpet.
Why it matters
The premiere was turned into a concert clip that travelled further than red-carpet photos.
