Cast revealed one director's chair at a time, live for five hours
An unannounced livestream showed a director's chair with an actor's name every few minutes, 27 in all, ending with Downey. Marvel and Disney announced the same day that production had begun.
Why it matters
A low-fi, long-form stunt became Marvel Studios' biggest livestream and gave the campaign a motif it reused for later cast reveals.
